Hope you figure it out! If these tutorials don't work for you on the first go I'd just call wacom support, and if that fails, apple support, rather than wasting your life-time in a state of fruitless archaic tech frustration. Felt pretty dumb-īUT- This was after I had already manually reset all the permissions as tasked both here:ĭespite my having not connected the cables properly, I still needed to go through these steps in order to have the cintiq communicate with my computer correctly- just that, it probably would have fixed the issue right away rather than me then stressing out for an additional two days before realizing the cintiq usb was not my printer. It had been so long since I last connected my cintiq I just totally forgot it was a thing. Yeah embarrassingly enough it turns out when switching over the maze of cables from my old computer to the new one I totally forgot that my ancient Cintiq not only needs to be connected via the video to usb-c connector that connects the screen, but also a usb 2.0 cable that connects the pen capabilities, and I mistook the cintiq's usb connector for that of my printer, which had fallen behind the desk. Let them know if it worked, say 'thank you', and give them an upvote! If someone solved your problem, don't just dip out. And be constructive when giving advice or correcting someone. Respect others, either the input they give, questions that might sound "stupid", or when they share their work. Ask for help, and we will try to do our best to help you. But if you present an issue that the community needs to hear about, then you can inform us in a calm manner. Venting to this subreddit, with your negative opinions about Wacom, will literally do nothing. You can ask for as much help as you want, but we don't make the changes at Wacom. We can all get frustrated sometimes, even at Wacom. Tell us what you struggled with, what your goals are, ask for critique, etc. If you make an Art Post that's obvious multi-sub posting and advertising of your work/product, will result in removals.Īlso, not engaging with the community will cause removal.

And include exact tablet/cintiq models, instead of just saying "Intuos tablet". Noone listens to this rule so at least Flair your post accordingly. If you had a question or issue that was successfully answered, then please change the flair to "Solved".įor product recommendations, please post it in the pinned "Purchase Advise" thread. Use Flair to mark the title of your posts appropriately. Its obvious why you're here, so avoid the word 'Help' and any exclamations/caps usage like "NEED HELP!" Just saying, "what do I do?", (and anything similar) is not a good title.

So my guess is there is an issue with the Mac software and operating systems which is retaining a 'ghost' of some programming that corrupts the Wacom settings.

(unfortunately I now have to transfer my mail etc accounts, and hopefully not the corrupted file. All to no avail.įinally the problem was solved by creating a new and clean user on the Mac, and loading the driver into that user's account - now the tablet runs perfectly.

WACOM TABLET NOT WORKING FOR MAC OS SIERRA UPDATE
Wacom advised a whole new un-install and reinstall, update all programmes and operating systems (I use Creative Suite), and finally a full search of all the files for anything with wacom or tablet in the file or folder name and clear the trash can - and then clean re-install again. I un-installed the old Wacom Driver, installed the new one and plugged it in - it was terrible. I loved it, so did a quick search of blogs and then replaced it with a brand new Wacom Intuos Art (Medium) Pen and Touch CTH-690.

When I updated to Sierra (due to instability in my Mac) the old wacom pretty much stopped working. I have an Imac and an old Wacom Intuos 3. LU88, and other frustrated Mac/Wacom users.
